Aurora, Illinois: Disability Resources
On This Page
Aurora, Illinois has city senior and disability resources, a partner-based transportation program and its own housing authority. These contacts are separate from the Colorado agencies with similar names. Use the Illinois program links and check current application status.
City Senior Resource Guide
Aurora Senior Resource Guide offers local resource information for older adults and people supporting them. The Senior and Disability Services division also provides a way to receive program updates. Use the guide to identify a relevant organization, then confirm that organization’s service area and requirements. Being listed in a directory does not establish eligibility.
C.A.R.S. Transportation Referrals
City of Aurora Ride Solution is supplemental transportation for Aurora residents age 60 or older and people living with disabilities. The city directs interested residents to participating partners for consideration as referred participants. Rides are for approved clients and designated needs. Contact a listed partner before assuming a ride can be booked directly with the city.
Housing Authority Application Status
Aurora Housing Authority Applications lists separate public-housing, Housing Choice Voucher and property-based programs. At the source check, the listed waiting lists were closed. Applications for open lists use the authority’s online portal, but that does not override a program closure. Check the exact program and current status before preparing an application or making housing plans.

- For C.A.R.S., identify the participating partner and explain the essential trip.
